African Diaspora Club Alumni Reunion / Networking Dinner

Dear ADC Alumni,

The African Diaspora Club board would like to invite you to a special alumni networking dinner on October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Patuxent Lounge at Towson University that it is hosting in your honor!

We understand that upon graduating from Towson, many of you have not had the opportunity to see each other and catch up on things that may have been taking place in your lives. Having formed such close bonds over your love for ADC and desire to see Africans united, we know that an opportunity to come together once again would be valuable, and would present you all with that chance to reconnect and catch up on old times. Most importantly, ADC alumni have in many ways, played an important role in the growth and success of ADC. It is our desire to see ADC continue to thrive and we know that many of you may have some great ideas and suggestions on how we can continue to take this organization to the next level.

As many of you know, the fall semester is our time to prepare for African Explosion. This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than the shows of the past and we are truly excited about all that is in store. We hope that this dinner would also serve as a forum for us to share ideas with you about the upcoming show. As you all are well aware, putting on a show like African Explosion is very costly. It is up to the fundraising efforts of the organization to be able to pull together all of the funds needed. This year, the main source of fundraising for all student groups-the concession stands- have been cut. Student groups are no longer permitted to work at the concession stands. This has left many student groups in a financial predicament. We as a group have been brainstorming for alternative ways in which we can raise funds. We have hosted car washes, bake sales and have worked at the career fairs just to name a few. However, we still need your support being that we have not reached our fundraising goals of the semester. We have faith that all will go well and we are hoping that you all will join forces with us and donate to ADC. We thank you in advance and know that whatever your contri
